At Pro Cooperative’s Plover location, we want to clear up some common questions. We accept both corn and beans daily, including wet grain, and you can unload at either pit. Plus, we’re happy to hold or bring out your scale tickets for added convenience.

Summer Market Outlook Meeting

Pro Cooperative is very excited to announce that this spring we will be presenting a scholarship to a student pursuing an education in agriculture at a post-secondary 2 or 4 year school. Pro Cooperative Partners with Pocahontas Fire Department

Pro Cooperative is very passionate about supporting our local fire department and first responders. In late July, Pro Cooperative hosted a grain bin rescue training for the Pocahontas Fire Department to learn how to properly save someone in a bin if someone is trapped inside. Milford Location's Update

-Posted April 06, 2023-

Pro Cooperative’s Milford location is now safer and more efficient after installing a bottom side truck loading system. The upgrade has been a game changer, according to facility Manager, Dale Garber. The old top fill system required truckers to climb on top of their trucks to fill. The new bottom load system allows drivers to load product through the bottom valves with an overfill prevention system. Click the link below to learn more about Milford’s new update!

Pro Cooperative Supports ACSDIA Scholarship

Pro Cooperative supports a scholarship provided through Ag Cooperatives Safety Directors of Iowa (ACSDIA) to High School Students pursuing a career in Agriculture. As a founding member of ACSDIA, Mark Hambleton was dedicated to the future of Ag safety and those working in and around ag. Mark was the Safety Director at Pro Cooperative for many years. Pro Cooperative's Summer 2023 Dust Control Application is now available!

Is your dust out of control?! Pro Cooperative has an easy solution to, what seems like, a never ending problem. We are now accepting applications for our 2023 Dust Control Program this summer! We are using a product called Magnesium Chloride, which is a clear, odorless and environmentally friendly product to control dust in rural areas! Several months ago, the Gilmore City Service Center location was closed when Pro did not have enough Automotive Technicians to operate the shop safely. Through a chain of events and the re-hiring of some key people, we are excited to be reopening the Gilmore City Service Center location!
 
At the Open House, we will be having a drawing for a chance to win a free oil change, door prizes, as well as a smoked pork loin lunch being served by Arnold Motor Supply! You do not want to miss this celebration so mark your calendars to join us at the Gilmore City Service Center Open House!

Pro Cooperative Donates and Delivers 240 Holiday Hams!

During the past holiday season, Pro Cooperative donated 240 holiday hams to the Upper Des Moines Opportunity facilities of Pocahontas County, Emmet County, Humboldt and Palo Alto County as well as the New Opportunities of Calhoun County. Click the link below to read more.

Good Morning from Havelock!

Take a look at the progress at the facility this morning! Right before the end of the 2022, the construction company began digging the boot pit on the north side of the elevator. Additionally, they moved dirt for the new probing station and truck staging area located west of the office. Be sure to stay tuned to Pro Cooperative’s Facebook page for more updates this spring after the ground thaws. The project is still projected to be completed before harvest 2023.

Pro's Soil Temperature Probes are live on our website!

We are so excited to announce that Pro Cooperative now has two soil probes to read what the soil’s temperature is! These two soil probes are in Manson, Iowa and Terril, Iowa and reads the temperatures at both a 6-inch depth and a 12-inch depth. The temperatures are recorded and updated every hour on the website. You can find this information under the agronomy tab on the top of Pro’s website.

Harvest is approaching and that means a busy time for farmers, and a busy time for Pro Cooperative! Pro Cooperative’s looking for full-time and seasonal help to assist with fall harvest at these locations: Ayrshire, Bradgate, Gilmore City, Graettinger, Havelock, Manson, Pioneer, Pocahontas, Plover, Rolfe, Ruthven, Rutland, Terril and Wallingford. Announcement from Pro's Feed Department:

Due to uncontrollable circumstances, Pro Cooperative will be closing the Rolfe Feed Mill effective July 29th 2022. With the short notice of our closure, Pro will continue to make feed for transitioning customers during the month of August or until inventory runs out at the Rolfe Feed Mill. Pro Cooperative's RAGBRAI announcement

RAGBRAI is coming through our area on July 25th and 26th.  The Pocahontas elevator will be closed for grain receiving and loading during those days for safety on July 25th and 26th.  Havelock and Rolfe’s elevator will be also closed on July 26th for grain receiving and loading.  Additionally, Pocahontas Auto Center will be closed on July 26th.  Rolfe Feed Mill will be closed July 26th.  Rolfe Auto Center and Rolfe Heartland will be open conducting business as usual.

If you place an order between June 1 and Aug 26, we will invoice the fuel at cash price on the day of the order with delayed payments until Sept 20, 2022. For an additional $0.05 discount per gallon, be sure to pay for your product within 5 days of delivery.

Geoff, Pro’s Grain Manager, presented awards to the teams from this past fall throughout the month of March. Congrats to the many locations with record corn and soybean receipts! We hope to break many records again this year!

Sign Up For Pro Cooperative's 2022 Dust Control

Our effective dust control application can be sprayed on gravel roads in most counties of our trade area. The biodegradable and eco-friendly product is typically applied twice in a year. Be sure to call any of Pro’s locations or print out the order form from Pro Cooperative’s website and return to a Pro Cooperative location before April 15th to reserve your space for the 2022 dust season.

A BIG congratulations to our Laurens location! A few months ago, Cenex sent around a mystery shopper to evaluate and conduct an anonymous inspection of Pro’s Cenex locations. The Laurens Auto Service Center received a perfect score, 100%! Some of the things the shopper judged includes brand image requirements, cleanliness, safety and customer service. Congrats, to our Laurens location – LuAnn and Jacob!!

Pro Cooperative Donates Nearly 200 Holiday Hams!

To give back to Pro Cooperative’s local communities, Pro Cooperative donated 186 holiday hams to the Upper Des Moines Opportunity facilities of Pocahontas County, Emmet County, and Palo Alto County as well as the New Opportunities of Calhoun County. On December 20th and 21st, Pro Cooperative donated 50 holiday hams to each of the counties of Palo Alto, Emmet, and Calhoun. Pocahontas County received 36 holiday hams meals.
