Agronomy Sales Specialist

Southern Region of Pro Cooperative

Are you passionate about crop science, agriculture, and making a real impact on farm productivity? We’re looking for a dedicated Agronomy Sales Specialist to join our team!

 What We’re Looking For:
 – A bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university; or 3–5 years of related experience and/or training ; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
– Strong knowledge of soil health and crop management
– Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
– A valid state driver’s license and a driving record that meets or exceeds Pro Cooperative’s safety standards
– CDL and other DOT qualifications for operating a commercial motor vehicle are preferred

 What You’ll Do:
– Advise on the best farming practices
– Conduct soil and crop analysis
– Work closely with farmers and production teams

Custom Applicator

Graettinger, Ruthven, Terril or Wallingford

 What We’re Looking For:
– An associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or a high school diploma/GED with related experience and/or training
– Strong understanding of general maintenance for machinery, equipment, and vehicles
– Ability to operate agricultural machinery and follow application guidelines
– A valid state driver’s license and a driving record that meets or exceeds Pro Cooperative’s safety standards
– Class A CDL required, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire
– Valid Commercial Applicator’s License preferred, or willing to obtain within 30 days

 What You’ll Do:
– Safely operate and maintain application equipment (spreaders, sprayers, etc.)
– Apply crop protection and fertilizer products with precision and care
– Work closely with agronomy staff and customers to meet field needs
– Perform routine maintenance and support at the agronomy center

Feed Sales Specialist

Join our team and help livestock producers maximize their returns by providing top-quality feed solutions and exceptional service. In this role, you’ll develop strong customer relationships, make informed product recommendations, and collaborate with other Pro Cooperative departments to deliver value across our offerings.
 
What we are looking for:
– Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science or related field, or equivalent experience
– Strong knowledge of animal husbandry, management practices, and nutritional guidelines
– Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record (Class A CDL preferred)
– Self-starter who can manage time and schedule without close supervision
– Flexibility to work extended hours during busy seasons
 
What you’ll do:
– Recommend feed solutions, products, and services to maximize customer profitability
– Develop and maintain a customer and prospect list with market potential ratings
– Prioritize prospects and partial customers for growth opportunities
– Make regular sales calls and respond promptly to customer inquiries
– Maintain accurate records in Pro Cooperative’s CRM system
– Provide a consistent communication channel between customers and location personnel
– Help locations monitor sales projections for inventory planning

Safety Coordinator

Pocahontas, Iowa

We’re currently hiring a full-time Safety Coordinator. In this position, the person will be promoting a healthy and safe workplace at all Pro Cooperative locations. These duties will be accomplished by assisting in technical expertise to the safety team, supporting safety training on safety topics, and encouraging active employee involvement in the safety process.

 What We’re Looking For:

– Bachelor’s degree in Safety or a related field preferred and/or 2+ years of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
– First Aid/Responder or EMT certification preferred
– OSHA 501 Trainer Course for General Industry preferred
– Ability to complete required inspections, records, and paperwork accurately
– Considerable knowledge of all state and Federal regulations relative to safety, health, environment, and worker’s compensation or ability to acquire quickly.

– Good decision-making skills and ability to perform in stressful situations.

What You’ll Do:

– Administer and monitor safety and environmental programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FSMA, DOT, and other regulations.
– Maintain accurate records of training, certifications, incidents, inspections, and regulatory reports (e.g., OSHA 300 log, Tier II, EPA, Household Chemical Licenses).
– Plan and deliver safety training on topics such as job safety, fire prevention, hazard communication, chemical handling, and equipment operation.
– Coach and guide employees on safety compliance; lead investigations, document findings, and implement corrective actions
– Support operations at other locations when necessary
– Inspect facilities and equipment, recommend corrective actions, and track follow-up
– Manage workers’ compensation claims, reporting, and compliance. Collaborate with employees, supervisors, and departments to resolve issues and ensure consistent compliance across locations.
– Partner with dispatch to maintain DOT driver files and safety documentation
–Oversee grain handling standards, FSMA compliance, and operational safety requirements
– Ensure timely completion of all licenses, fees, and regulatory filings.
– Serve as liaison with environmental firms, industry groups, and community safety programs
– Develop and maintain safety communication materials to support company-wide awareness

Grain Delivery Driver

We’re currently hiring a full-time Grain Delivery Driver to safely and efficiently transport grain and agronomy products while providing exceptional service to our customers. This role is vital in supporting daily operations by maintaining equipment, ensuring product quality, and assisting with general operational needs in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. 

 What We’re Looking For:

– Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and clean driving record
– Ability to safely operate and maintain delivery trucks and equipment
– Willingness to work extended hours and weekends during busy seasons
– Ability to complete required inspections, records, and paperwork accurately
– Professional attitude and commitment to representing Pro Cooperative positively

 What You’ll Do:

– Safely load, transport, and deliver grain and agronomy products
– Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and routine truck maintenance
– Maintain accurate delivery logs and communicate with your supervisor
– Inspect grain quality during loading/unloading and ensure cleanliness 
– Assist with inventory records, housekeeping, and support applicators as needed
– Uphold Pro Cooperative’s safety standards and professional image at all times
– Support operations at other locations when necessary

Feed Delivery Driver - Night Shift

Ayrshire, IA

We’re currently hiring full-time Feed Delivery Driver (night shift position) to safely and efficiently transport feed and feed ingredients while providing exceptional service to our customers. This role is vital in supporting daily operations by maintaining equipment, ensuring product quality, and assisting with general operational needs in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. 

 What We’re Looking For:

Operations Worker ll

Terril, Iowa

We’re currently hiring a full-time Operations II Worker to help meet the needs of our Terril location by safely and efficiently providing grain and agronomy-related services. This position is accountable for supporting day-to-day operations, maintaining equipment and facilities, and delivering excellent customer service in a hands-on environment.

What We’re Looking For:

– Strong work ethic
– Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends during busy seasons
– Valid commercial driver’s license preferred

– Team player with a positive, professional attitude

 

What You’ll Do:

– Receive and unload grain, and assist with grain drying operations

– Support daily agronomy warehouse functions
– Maintain grain condition by monitoring temperatures and measuring inventory
– Maintain and repair equipment as necessary
– Follow all Pro Cooperative safety procedures and compliance policies
– Attend required trainings, meetings, and workshops
– Communicate with your supervisor and teammates to keep things running smoothly
